[ WELL actually when ed was hanging in tech geek corner midmonth they could have secured his device for him since they all needed to be untracked and able to talk to each other. which would make it not foolproof to talk device to device, the mod has even volunteered for a plot related to that, but! definitely much safer in general? then authorities don't have the ability to track it without some effort on their part, and messages don't store remotely, so delete from the palm reader after reading...
