The usual time is 3 years. It's possible to cut the process short, but that can put a lot of strain on the body. At least, that was how it was back home.

We are fortunate to have access to more sophisticated technology, but I suppose it also depends on how diligent Marco is and how well his body can endure the constant strain.

The fact that he's already recovering at this fast of a rate is already quite a feat, however.
